Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Sharework is a Marketplace for Tech Partners. We connect Clients who have Ideas with Verified Experts for AI, Chatbot, Website/App and IT Support. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your data.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only minimal data required to run the marketplace:

• Name, Email, Phone Number
• Business Name (if any)
• Profile Photo, Skills, Portfolio (for Providers)
• Project Details you post
• IP Address, Device Info, Browser Type
• Chat messages between Client and Expert on platform

We DO NOT collect or store

• Card numbers, CVV, or OTP. Payments are handled by the secure payment gateway.
• Raw UPI values, raw phone numbers, or raw email addresses from a blocked chat message. A safety record may keep a redacted snippet instead.
• Passwords in plain text. Passwords are stored in protected form.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To create your account and verify Providers (Rs. 49 registration)
• To show Provider profiles to Clients and vice versa
• To facilitate communication, contracts and Escrow payments (5% commission)
• To provide support and resolve disputes
• To improve platform and prevent fraud
• To send project updates, payment alerts (you can opt-out of marketing)
• To detect prohibited contact sharing, off-platform payment attempts, fraud, and abuse in chat

Chat safety records

When chat safety rejects a qualifying message, the original message is not saved as a normal chat message and the raw contact text is not kept in the safety log.

A safety incident may keep the incident and conversation identifiers, the Client and Provider identifiers and roles, the rule category, the time, the automatic action and later account status, a redacted evidence snippet, and the decision, restoration, notification, and appeal or override history.

Incident evidence is limited to Admin access. Opening that evidence is written to the Admin audit log.

A deletion period for these safety records has not been set. They are not the same as ordinary project chat, and the three-year chat period below does not by itself delete them.

4. Sharing of Data

We do not sell your data.

We share data only with:

• Clients/Experts - Only information visible on profile and project posts
• Payment Gateway - To process Escrow payments
• Service Providers - Hosting (AWS), Email, Analytics - bound by confidentiality
• Law Enforcement - If required by law or court order

We will never sell your data to advertisers.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember preferences and understand platform usage. You can disable cookies in browser settings, but some features may not work.

6. Data Security

We keep your data safe with:

• SSL/HTTPS encryption
• Encrypted passwords
• Secure servers in India
• Access controls and firewalls

Even though we take all reasonable steps, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We follow reasonable security practices as required by law.

7. Data Retention

• Account data: Till you delete your account + 180 days
• Project chat and deliverables: 3 years for dispute resolution. This period does not set a deletion date for chat safety incident records.
• Transaction logs: 8 years as required by law
• You can request deletion of your account via support@thesharework.com

8. Your Rights

You have right to:

• Access your data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of account
• Withdraw consent (but you may not be able to use platform)
• Raise grievance

9. Children's Privacy

Platform is not for children under 18 years. We do not knowingly collect data of minors.

10. Third-Party Links

Platform may contain links to third-party websites (Expert portfolio links). We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

12. Changes to Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Continued use after update means acceptance. We will notify via email for major changes.
